SINGER KOFFI OLOMIDE GRANTED BAIL AFTER FOUR DAYS IN JAIL FOR ASSAULT

Veteran singer Koffi Olomide, has been released on bail following his expulsion from Kenya. He had been arrested after a video recording had circulated the internet where the Congolese singer was seen kicking one of his dancers.
Olomide has now been granted bail by a Congolese court which ruled that the accused does not pose any flight risk.
Benoit Tayeye, one of the lawyers of the singer said, “Prosecutors granted bail to Koffi Olomide because he does not present a flight risk,”
“The defence has shown that the singer has a known residence, is a famous music star and his principal interests are here in DRC.”
This caused anger in some camps, as many criticized the singer's behaviour.
