The
Nigerian music industry has had its fair share of publicity stunts lately. And
in recent times it’s seen as a tool to get fans talking especially for out of
favour acts.
Iyanya
who has been relatively silent in the industry and has been in the United
States for over a month took to social media this morning with this message;
‘I’ll
be launching my new label n new album soon’.
He’s
currently a signed artiste under MMMG Records, a record label he co-owns with
his manager and partner, Ubi Franklin.

POPULAR GUITARIST, FIOKEE UNVEILS NEW RECORD LABEL
Why
leave a label you co-own, presently signed under and hold the office of the
label vice-president?
It’s
either a poorly thought publicity stunt attempt or there’s a brewing crisis in
the label.
Iyanya
is not in the country at the moment and his manager, Ubi Franklin has not
responded to this new development.
