KOFFI OLOMIDE SEEKS SUPPORT OF FANS AFTER BAGGING 18-MONTH JAIL TERM


Legendary Congolese singer, Koffi Olomide has been reportedly sentenced to an 18-month jail term without the option of fine by a Kinshasa court following an assault on one of his female dancers in Nairobi, Kenya few days ago. 
In a new solidarity message he shared on his Facebook page, the embattled singer wants his fans to use his photo on social media as a sign of protest against his conviction.



Koffi Olomide who was once convicted in 2012, after assaulting his producer Diego Lubaki, this time around pleaded his innocence with his lawyers arguing that he was manhandled by the police.
The singer was however found guilty of the offence and has been sentenced to over a year in jail.
