Yesterday,
MMMG Records singer, Iyanya shocked his fans when he announced his plans to
float a new record label saying, ‘I’ll be launching my new label and new album
soon’.
The
announcement was met with mixed reactions. While some felt it’s another attempt
at a publicity stunt, others simply shrugged it off as a thoughtless post.

New
developments may however confirm the ‘Kukere’ singer has made up his mind.
Previously In his career, when he released songs the famous MMMG logo was
always present in the artwork.
Iyanya
dropped a new song, ‘Ayaya’ today and the logo was conspicuous by its absence .
A
source close to him tells us, ‘he signed a 5 yer deal in 2011 and was made the
label vice-president, I think he’s leaving because his deal has expired’.
While
the label president has kept mute on the new development, a source in his camp
exclusive tells Thenetng that Iyanya’s cryptic message doesn’t mean there’s
trouble.
In
his words, ‘they are both in the US together, I’m sure you saw them on the red
carpet at the BET Awards two weeks ago. I don’t think there’s any issue,
everyone has a right to setup a company that doesn’t mean there is trouble
anywhere, Iyanya is still a part owner of MMMG’.
